Installing Tomb Raider 1996 On Modern Systems
Running the game in windowed mode;[]
To get window mode working, after installing the ati patch go into tomb raider 1 installation folder and open "glrage.ini" as a text file, in this text file set the value: fullscreen_mode = 2. Once it's done, go in patches folder and open tombati.ini. in that file set value to
:resolution_override = true
resolution_width = XXX
resolution_height = XXX
XXX being resolution you want.
then go in patches folder again and open dosbox.ini and do exactly the same.
(Some people report this as not working, If someone finds a sure fire way of getting this to work please update this)

Pro Tips[]
- Always try to run and jump! You move faster this way. Integrating it into your speedrun is a crucial skill that we call sequencing. If you watch any speedrun closely, the runner is always running and jumping, occasionally missing steps or taking standing jumps. This is all to line Lara up good for bigger/more difficult jumps.
- Pushing blocks is preferable to pulling, Its marginally faster
- Where a block is one "tile" high and you need to get up there, try to hop back and jump up as opposed to climbing up on the block.
- Turning with guns is slightly faster than rolling and should be done where possible
